Cade is officially done for the season and unofficially done in Ann Arbor

https://247sports.com/college/michi...cNamara-injury-update-surgery-news-197602522/

They are one injury away from a train wreck.

McCarthy or Corum

McCarthy is not great by any means but the backup is a bum no matter who it is. You really have to have zero respect for the pass game then.

Edwards in no way can live up to Corum, their run game slows down and is altered a big amount if Corum were to get hurt.

Hopefully both make it through the Ohio State game though, Leave no room for DFBIA excuses.

scUM still needing to pound Corum into the ground deep into the 3rd quarter against Nebraska (they were still 100% leaning on him until they scored to go up 24-3 with like a minute left in the 3rd) should be concerning for them. They act like it's not though.

McCarthy was horrible. Don't care that he threw 2 layup TD passes against a bad defense. He was 8/17 for 129 yards. That is not going to cut it against upper level teams.

This seems to be becoming a trend as he was awful against Rutgers and just "ok" against Sparty the 2 games before. The "most accurate QB" has completed under 50% 2 weeks in a row.

They love harping on our struggle with Northwestern

But scUM really has not had good 1st halves in B1G play.

Problem though is that none of the teams they've done this against are capable of taking total advantage of that.

only led Maryland 17-13 at half, never were able to pull away and escaped with a 7 point W

led Iowa 13-0 at half, the game was never really in doubt.

Tied 10-10 with Indiana at halftime, only led 17-10 after 3, pulled away about midway through the 4th

Penn State - despite dominating the stat sheet only led 16-14 at halftime. of course ran away in the 2nd half.

Sparty - only led 13-7 at half. 19-7 after 3, totally put the game away in the 4th

Rutgers - TRAILED 17-14 at half, Rutgers falls apart in the 3rd quarter when their QB turns into a INT machine.

Nebraska - 17-3 lead at half but really struggled to totally put away a totally beaten down team that was at times playing their 3rd string QB.

scUM seems to heavily rely on just over powering lesser teams as the game goes on.

If they come out against us like they did against Maryland, Indiana, Sparty & Rutgers. The game could very well be over at halftime. scUMs worst nightmare is going into the half down multiple scores. They just don't have the type of offense to make up for it against our offense if we are even just firing at a average level for us.

I so badly want to see us shut them down, especially in the 4th quarter. No mercy. Just beat that little fucker Corum till he taps out ....

First halves are their kryptonite.

https://mgoblog.com/mgoboard/john-u-bacon-details-more-eyewitness-reports-msu-michigan-game

So this nerd, John U Bacon, decides that he needs to release all this awesome information that shows how Michigan State sucks. He says "a number of witnesses have reached out" (he doesn't say what the number is), and then refers to them as "Witness 1" and "Witness 2". Nothing specific on these people. I get it - they want to remain anonymous. But if these stories are true, wouldn't they want to contact law enforcement, if this is a criminal investigation?

“Mel Tucker spent the entire game arguing with the officials. He looked very agitated and never accepted the official’s explanation.”
I don’t seem to recall them being concerned when Lloyd Carr spent entire games screaming at officials.

Corum is a stud, but they're overusing him like they're 2021 Sparty or 2022 Illinois with only one credible player on the roster. Eventually that's going to catch up with them.

They don't have the WR talent they should at a school like that, but they have more than enough for the welterweights in the B1G.

I can't say I feel great about this game. I think if we're losing at halftime, it's going to be bad. If we're close at halftime, it could very well be bad. If we're winning by 10+ at halftime, it very well could be very, very good. I don't think *ichigan has the game to keep up with Ohio State if it's a high-scoring game.
