Yeah, at this point it's hard to get more upset about the defense. Guys are out, it was already a bad unit. Not gonna matter until we see the result of Knowles' work in the fall. It will hopefully at least be cohesive and have an identity.

The defense might not experience a top 10 turn around like we saw in 2019, but this team really doesn't need that either. The offense is good enough to reliably give you 30pts. All you need is slightly above average defensive play and you have a very good team.

.... that is how bad this current squad is, I'm asking for average defensive play as an improvement.

This is what I go back to. In the first Q I was thinking "How can anyone fix this?" but 2018 was almost this bad or worse for much of the season.

I think talent is an issue at LB, but everywhere else has freshman that will be really good or better.
