We're back baby :)
D1
St. Ed's 31 vs. Gahanna Lincoln 7
Springfield 28 - Moeller 24
I am a little surprised by the Springfield result, well not just a little, that's a pretty big upset. Their best win/s all year was two wins over Centerville, otherwise their resume was not sparkling. Well, throw that out the window because they shock Moeller and help prevent a rematch from earlier this year as St. Ed's already beat Moeller in a blistering 6-0 affair. All that said, it's been great D1, but St. Ed's has this locked up. Call your bookies now or visit the local donut shop.
D2
Hoban 41 - Massillon Washington 20
Toledo Central Catholic 52 - Kings Mills 49
Well, my dreams for the Tigers is dead and I apologize for putting the curse on them. I'd love to sit here and tell you TCC has a shot and try to convince myself that by pointing to their Week 1 23-20 loss to St. Ed's, which is as good a loss as you can have, but the reality is TCC has struggled to get past Avon and Kings Mills and unless they do a 180* they will lose by 20+ next weekend.
D3
Canfield 38 - Holy Name 21
Bloom-Carroll 35 - Tippecanoe 12
A little surprised at the last game, at least at the size of victory. This is the most unpredictable title game so far - both teams have a legit chance. This is a "down" year for Canfield in some ways, in some years I'd have them rolling here but there's something about the Bulldogs of Bloom-Carroll to me. They're more battle tested since really round 2 of the playoffs, they have the "it" feel to me so if I'm picking I'm going with them....they were back to back runners up in D4 the last two years and they get over the hump for state title numero uno.
D5
Ironton 35 - Germantown Valley View 21
Canfield South Range 35 - Liberty Center 0
Wow, the Raaaaidahs of South Range shellac previously undefeated Liberty Center. A rarity will occur in the title game as we have 15-0 vs. 15-0, somethings gotta give...Ironton is looking for their first title since 1989, South Range is looking for their first ever...and I think they get it, John Madden's ghost streaks the field after.
