Man, that was bad, no effort whatsoever, no wonder they almost got shut out. I wondering if with the NIL rule if some of these players don't care because they're getting the money now and saving their bodies for a possible pro career. What the short sighted ones don't understand is scouts see that and it's a hard pass

It's not "backing in" when the SEC does it. This is really how they think.

There's only a problem all of a sudden when it's a non SEC team.

we've heard every year since 2007 about how we backed into that game
Believe me, we definitely feel Bama backed in in 2011

personally, I hate the idea of expansion, because most years (every year?) there isn't even 4 teams worthy of a title.
and no i don't care how many 4 seeds have won it.

I guess maybe it only applies to Bama. Bama has backed into more titles/title chances under Saban than anyone else by far. But it's always spun as they "deserve that opportunity"

I don't think it's fair to say anyone "BACKED IN!" in 2007 though, lol, that year was just a year that nobody seemed to want to earn their spot in the title game.

There's going to be a ton of blowouts in the 12 team playoff. But at least we get to see the argument every year about which meh 3 loss team is more worthy of the 12th spot!

oh I agree 2007 was just a weird ass year and a complete anomaly. but you'd be surprised how many people (including our own fans) that minimize it.

yeah, it's going to suck
Tulane and Alabama do not deserve spots. And i really don't care what the results of their bowl games will be and that won't sway my opinion.
