Hit the first half line and now full game Purdue -12.5 cashes.

Betting against OSU hoops may be the most profitable investment going right now, surpassing “crypto scam”.

13 of last 14 failed to cover the spread (93%).

I could fund an early retirement winning at that clip. If only I could clone the 2022-23 Buckeyes.

I can't understand Holtmann.... You're losing by almost 30 ... but lets keep subbing the same guys in the game... I get most of the other guys are freshman but good lord, there's probably a better than average chance half of them transfer out...so why not try to spark the team... for anyone that would argue "oh its defense" ... none of the other guys are playing much D either so...

I don’t care what the cost is you fire this guy now. This is fucking unacceptable. There’s losing and there’s the shit we’re seeing right now. There’s no pride, no effort, no anything.

The worst of it is, that you can't just Bobby Knight these kids anymore and choke the shit out of them when they are garbage. LOL

So now when they are head cases what do you do, coddle them? I would think you sit them all on the bench but there's not a single player right now that has any fight. Zed does and I think Gene has some if he got more playing time. This season is just all kinds of fucked up and I don't know if there's a coach alive that could fix this group.

With respect, that is untrue. Fred Taylor was a family friend. It is fair to say that he was shattered psychologically when neither the Big Ten nor the University did anything about his team being attacked and beaten at Minnesota. It was a betrayal at the highest level of the University. Ohio State were leading the Big Ten before that fight and finished the year very badly without Luke Witte.

Fred Taylor was held in the highest esteem, second only to Adolph Rupp at the time. Taylor's extended coaching tree reveals the incredible influence he had on the sport. However, Minnesota and especially the lack of support in its aftermath shattered his interest in coaching. I remember my mother saying that he told her he should have resigned immediately and that his heart was gone for the game. There were several reports in the press that he wanted nothing to do with Ohio State or coaching after he resigned. The following link confirms these memories.

Fred Taylor dies NY Times

"Taylor was an adept recruiter and stressed smart team play.

''My team is an extension of his team,'' Knight, the longtime Indiana coach now at Texas Tech, said Sunday.

Knight added that Taylor's teams were ''always a working model for me -- they played good defense, they ran the fast break when they had it and they were well disciplined.''

Taylor once recalled how his 1959-60 Buckeyes, No. 1 on offense nationally, ''weren't very sound defensively at the start of the season.'' But, he said, ''as they progressed, they could play pretty thorny defense.''

Taylor became disenchanted with coaching after a brawl in a January 1972 game at Minnesota, which left three Ohio State players hospitalized. One of them, center Luke Witte, was knocked to the floor and stomped by two Gophers players. Those Minnesota players were suspended for the rest of the season, but Taylor felt that the Ohio State administration should have pushed for more aggressive disciplinary action.

''I still kick myself for not quitting then because that's what I felt I should do when nobody really even acted as though they cared,'' Taylor said later.

He resigned after his team finished 6-20 in the 1975-76 season.
