I guess I can toss in a "FUCK *ICHIGAN"!! for good measure.WTF, nothing anti-Michigan posted since Sunday? That's un-Ohioan.
Feckless
Feckless - adj. Used to describe person about whom you do not give a feck, usually due to extreme cowardice. Synonym: Milquetoastian - A person whose metaphorical spine has the structural integrity of toast that is saturated with milque (french whole milk). See also: Xichigan
I adore this word. It must me worked into the thread title. How about "Feckless Marmots"?Feckless
I'm guessing he's counting season championships and tournament championships. So Michigan had 20 chances in those 10 years, and got 5. Ohio State, on the other hand, had 10 chances and got 5. I guess that's the same, in his mind. (Also, in the 5 Ohio State didn't win, they were undefeated in 1 of them (2012) but their magic tattoos from 2 years before kept them out, they were in the title game another year (2013), and 1 play away 2 more years (2015 and 2016).- Ohio State FB has 5 Big Ten Championships in the 2010s+, Michigan MBB has 3 with two addt'l BTT championships
So 1 win, 1 loss in championship game, plus 3 final four appearances is roughly the same as 0 wins, 2 losses, 2 final four appearances (and 3 final eight appearances). Right. If football was an 8-team playoff, it'd be safe to assume Ohio State would have been in the final 8 in 2013, 2015, 2017, and 2018, to go along with 2014, 2016, 2019, and 2020.- Ohio State FB has been to the national championship game twice, winning once, and three Semifinal appearances; Michigan MBB has been to the natty twice, with 3 Elite Eight appearances
So... Michigan hasn't been totally dominant, as Ohio State has. So winning the conference is better... ?? I don't get that one.- Michigan's ability to win the conference despite greater parity in MBB is on par, if not more exciting with Ohio State's consistency in FB
Your argument is terrible, then. Ohio State went from Jim Tressel, who averaged about 10.5 wins and 2 losses per year, to Urban Meyer, who averaged about 12.0 wins and 1 loss per year, to Ryan Day, who has gotten EXACTLY 1 loss per year, and those were in the playoffs. Juwan Howard hasn't even gotten to the Final Four, yet, has he?- Both programs have handled a coaching change exceptionally -- and I would argue Michigan has handled it even better
Ah yes. Going the Penn State route, eh? "We're better people than you are!" Why not bring out championships from before the Korean War, or graduation rates, or all-time wins, or records versus Ann Arbor High School? I'll give them this point, but I'm actually taking a point for 3 of the previous arguments. I don't know what to do with #3.- Advantage to Michigan for, ahem, not ever being under sanctions in the 2010s despite this success, and by all accounts running a high integrity program
For those of you wondering what the DFBIA is talking about now...

Opinion: Michigan basketball > Ohio State football the last 10 years.

I'll also take a point in that I know Ohio State's record versus Michigan in basketball is better than Michigan's record versus Ohio State in football those years.
Why even go over there?Additional data points:
OSU football is 8-1 vs tsun in that 10 year span
OSU basketball is 13-8 vs tsun in that 10 year span
OSU football never backed out of a game in that 10 year span
just sayin
