Agreed. As much as Harbaugh does run his mouth, I do like his dialectical quote about a conversation which begins by asking "How good was Team #1xx?" which responds with talking about how we can't know how "good" this team was until they've become men, begun families, ascended in their careers, raised children, achieved highly, and given back to their community/contributed beneficially to the human race.

Because these long term outcomes were precisely why Michigan paid him 7 mil per year.

This is also why they have now modified his contract such that he can earn that same amount not by producing judges and senators, but by winning his division, winning the B1G, making the playoffs, etc.

He's a fucking football coach - not a priest.

How good was Team #1xx? We can't judge how "good" this Team was, for another 40-50 years, when all the really, truly important cards have been played, and we really see what type of men these players went on to become.
You can wait as long as you'd like, but they still lost to Ohio State

Getting a cult started is remarkably easy, no?

9 personality traits that make people susceptible to cults
  1. Need to feel validated
  2. Seeking an identity
  3. follower, not leader
  4. Seeking meaning
  5. Have Schizotypal Thinking
  6. Highly Suggestible
  7. Constantly blame others
  8. Always angry
  9. Very low self worth
A break out for highly suggestible:
Cults work by brainwashing their members. So really, anyone can get sucked in or fall victim to their mind games. But this may be even more likely for someone who tends to be highly suggestible or gullible, as well as anyone who wants to find meaning in life so desperately they're willing to give anything a go.

"Cults can simply subsume everything to a supernatural otherworldly reason. Like, if something goes right, it's because of [Superpower/Cult Leader]. If something goes wrong, it's [Superpower/Cult Leader] testing your faith to see how resolute you are, or it's a way of 'opening another door,'" Dr. Neo says. It takes a certain open-mindedness to think this way, which may cross into gullibility.

Now, I think our friends in Slappy Valley peg all 9 of these to the max but the DFBIA is heading in that direction at a solid rate.

Another one

Linebacker Adam Shibley was thrust into action early and often in the 2020 season with an injury sustained by starting middle linebacker Cam McGrone last year. He played 174 snaps in five games, with the bulk coming against Michigan State, Rutgers and Penn State. According to PFF, he graded out significantly well in all of his appearances except the unexpected season finale against the Nittany Lions.

According to MLive’s Aaron McMann, despite an opening for a potential middle linebacker spot with McGrone declaring for the NFL draft, Shibley will seek playing time elsewhere, as he’s in the NCAA transfer portal.

A walk-on, he finished tied for 8th on the team in total tackles and tied for second in TFL (with 2 ) in 2020.

It's funny that they say "he was going to get passed on the depth chart"

But by fucking who? The guys who couldn't pass him last year?

Makes sense  all the guys who couldn't get playing time over a walk on in 2020 are suddenly going to be worthy!

LB Depth is a black hole for them and they really want to play a 3-4 in 2021.

Dude, they’ve got 2-3 DTs on the roster now, they are set to dominate.

Day better up his recruiting game. It’s a *ichigan *ovement up there. I’m told it’s serious.

He's just proof that you can be a walk on, work hard, listen to your coaches and become a major contributor

.............and the use that as a springboard to a better program.
