I think some of them get it. They had a post over there about how COVID cancellations would be forfeits. One guy posted that they therefore have a chance to beat Ohio State. The next response said something like, "They'd just play all their back-ups, and their back-ups are better than our team." I think a lot of their fans understand that #Hang100 isn't just a threat.

Their assessment of THEIR LB situation seems spot on: ... for Michigan we are discussing only the two true LB spots, currently held by Josh Ross and Nikhai Hill-Green, with Michael Barrett in the mix. Defined in that manner, I can't really say this group ranks too highly, probably around #8. The first five on this list all have at least one really high-end LB, Sanborn/Chenal, Ulofoshio, Fatukasi, Brooks, McFadden. Michigan doesn't have that caliber of a player currently. Josh Ross seemed like he was on track to be that years ago, but two disappointing and injury-riddled seasons since then means that Michigan doesn't have a guy who seems like a good bet to be All-B1G at linebacker.

In which the Lollipop Guild feeds the DFBIA their rainbows and lollipops on their thoroughly mediocre recruiting class:

Side note - They're all in on JJ McCarthy. Poor dumb bastards never learn...

scUM transfers in Week 0:

Nebraska WR Oliver Martin: 6 rec, 103 yards (17.2 avg), TD
UCLA RB Zach Charbonnet: 6 rush, 106 yards (17.7 avg), 3 TD; 1 rec, 14 yards

Would be WR1 and RB1 at scUM. You just hate to see it.
For context...

Michigan WR Oliver Martin 2020 stats: in 4 games- 5 Rec, 63 yards (12.6 avg) 0 TDs
Michigan RB Zach Charbonnet 2020 stats: in 5 games- 19 rush, 124 yards (6.5 avg) 1 TD, 6 rec 41 yards

Gotta play 4D chess and disregard your better players.

I mean, it IS working for them on defense by putting their "best" in positions to not get any meaningful stats.
That was the problem with these guys.

Since they were in danger of getting stats they had to be expelled from the program.

It is a subtle and very long term strategy, but far to early to judge.

I agree. We need to wait this out to see how it works. That is why I will propose that TSUN signs Harbaugh to at least a 10 year extension with a $1-billion buyout.

Watching the Pats/Giants preseason game. Uche is an absolute monster. Had a sack early in the game, along with multiple pressures, including one in the redzone that directly resulted in a Daniel Jones endzone INT.
I was going to mock them for being so proud of his NFL accomplishments despite not doing jack shit in college, Tom Brady-style, but he actually did have decent stats in 2018 and 2019.

However, I know nothing about him and don’t recall him on the field at all.

He had one assisted tackle against Ohio State in 2019, and didn’t play against Ohio State in 2018 (and had one solo tackle and one assisted tackle against Florida and Bama in two bowl games combined).

Meanwhile he had three sacks against Illinois in 2019 for his best tally ever.

A true Michigan man—feast on the minnows and completely disappear when it matters against good teams, even when you might have NFL talent.

Even if they didn’t have a massive talent gap to deal with, they’re also massively weak psychologically… country club entitlement, it’s a mirage, etc.
