I think this belongs here… had an indoor soccer game tonight… douche canoe goalie for the other team comes out and slides outside the box to stop one of my teammates (illegal … this is an over 30 men’s league… but still he can slide in the box not out of the box). Our guy gets a little chippy with him. it settles a little but the goalie keeps at it .. my guy torches him for a goal…. taunts him aka does a celebration right at his face … keeper then punts the ball at then back of his head… both get yellow carded… keeper shoulda been tossed at that point … wasn’t … anyways our guy goes at him again and scores keeper starts shit again… finally after the game was over i found out why…. looked over he was wear scUm slides….I mean.. sometimes things are on point.. this one was one of those times…fuck that keeper .. known he’s a scumer…. i’m gonna have some fun with him the next time we play them.

Do you need some of us to come there and kick his ass? Wait, why don’t you just kick his ass? There’s unlimited chances to bull rush a goalie.

well unfortunately I am the only guy on the team who will consistently play defense so my venturing towards the other box is very limited:shake:. I did but several of his teammates on the ground (only once got called for the foul) when they tried to get past me….

Not a big baseball fan and not sure where to post this (please move if needed), but in the Little League World Series it is close to being an Ohio-Xichigan championship game (if both win their next game). Edit - although it seems to be a double elimination tournament and each of them has lost one game already and the teams they each play have not lost (which seems unfair if they don't get a chance to lose once).

He ranked Ohio State 6th behind Wisconsin, Washington, Rutgers, Penn State, and Indiana.

I think it’s a humorous inverse of their “we have bodies, we’re stacked with talent!” bias.

Ohio State lost four LBs from last year, that means they aren’t good this year despite the likelihood of Ohio State’s guys ending up in the NFL being greater to substantially greater than anyone else on the list.

I don't think that they have ever been in the situation Ohio State is in. They've never been a team that just had the "next man up" possibility. It was "these are our starters, and they play, and when they're gone, we need to have some good recruiting to replace them." Ohio State has their starters' replacements already on campus - already on the team. I don't think that's something that fans of other teams understand. They may think they do, but they don't. Have you ever heard someone say, "Team X has only 2/11 starters back on offense. They won't be good this year." Or, "Only 10% of their offensive yards are returning, they have a lot to pick up." They may be right about 50% or 75% or 99% of the teams out there. But they aren't right about at least the top 4 teams. You don't make it to 7 straight NY6 bowls (8, if you count 2013), if you have to struggle to replace your starters.

I think some of them get it. They had a post over there about how COVID cancellations would be forfeits. One guy posted that they therefore have a chance to beat Ohio State. The next response said something like, "They'd just play all their back-ups, and their back-ups are better than our team." I think a lot of their fans understand that #Hang100 isn't just a threat.
