Are we not discussing the "Bo Knew" press conference?
Silly Buckeye. A Michigan Boy does not deserve the same response given a Michigan Man.

Who among us hasn’t punched his kid if he told you they’d been molested? Why, if the whiners had their way every family Thanksgiving in West Virginia would be like the Lynyrd Skynyrd church scene in Kingsman.

I think its clear Ohio State would have brought him in as more of a depth piece, scUM is likely bringing him in expecting him to be a key contributor

Though naturally DFBIA exclaims this makes their WR room now a "big strength"

They return 2 guys who caught over 10 passes last year.........

Ronnie Bell is their "#1" guy has 1,300 yards and 4 TDs in 2 full seasons + the shortened COVID season

Cornelius Johnson 20 catches 315 yards in 19 & 20

Roman Wilson caught 9 balls in 2020 as a frosh

Mike Sainristil is a slot dot/converted CB with 15 catches in 19 & 20

AJ Hennig caught 6 balls in 2020 as a frosh.

Those guys after Bell (who was the #212 WR in his class) were the #26, #60, #59 (as a DB though) and #18 WRs in their recruiting rankings. So not only have they shown limited production, they also arent 5* talents by any means. Only DFBIA could look at this group and label it as a "clear strength". Relying on a FCS transfer to step in and play a rather large role would say otherwise.

Well isn't "clear strength" relative to the other shitty units they plan on fielding this year .....

You know like ... The WR room is clearly a strength compared to the shit-show that's our DL.

No wonder they keep losing. Ohio State doesn't have "red" as a primary color. Fucking morons. God damn are these cocksuckers dumb.

In other news, I'm sure they figure this is what will put them over the top because they just now heard Ohio State has been banning blue in the Woody for years now. Its a revenge tour t-shirt in a color ban. Get in the weight room, you fuckin clowns. Oh, wait... you don't know what to do there. Dance away

I don't think they have a single complete unit I would call a "clear strength".

QB is laughable at the moment. Some of them still swear Cade McNamara is a "good QB" based on his performance vs Rutgers. Completely ignoring the shit sandwich he put forth against Ped State the very next week (12/25 91 yards). 5* Freshmen didnt make the waves some of them thought he would during spring. Texas Tech injury case transfer probably has a good chance of starting the year as the starter.

RB they have 1 guy (Haskins) i'd say is ok, but after that you get Corum who was bad last year and a highly rated freshmen who apparently did not make much movement in the spring. This is another unit DFBIA believes is "very strong" for some reason.

WR/TE is "meh" at best. Ronnie Bell would be a ok #3 at a lot of schools buts he's nowhere near a #1 on a better team

Oline - as we've seen the past few years, not much of a strength

Dline - Lol

LBer - Dwindling depth and not much proven talent there. A bunch of converted players are going to be asked to step in. Good luck

DB - As we've seen up close, theyve gotten regularly toasted by anyone with quality skill talent the past few years.

Their defense has the potential to be really really bad, worse than last year where they let up 434 yards per game (only Rutgers was worse in the B1G) especially if they are trying to shove square pegs into round holes with a totally new scheme. No joke NIU (winless last year) is probably the only team on their schedule who won't at least somewhat light them up.

IMO, the challenge for the offensive staff will be to modernize the offense to take advantage of the skilled talent, keep the ball moving, and score points. If that happens -- and QB play is competent to good -- then keeping everyone involved won't be a problem.

 Yea modernizing a offense to spread out and take advantage of skill players is such a challenge that most of college football did it like 15 or so fucking years ago.

Cade starts, Bowman backs up, JJ gets experience but “save-redshirt” experience

McCarthy is so good they want to redshirt him instead of playing him over a guy whos only accomplishment is a 3 OT win over Rutgers and a oft injured grad transfer.

He looks like a playmaker.

It’s going to be a challenge for Gattis to keep everybody happy—there’s only one ball in play

They seriously talk like they have a fully loaded with main brand products cupboard.

So I think we could safely call the RB room and WR room a strength at this point with o-line being unsure and qb room being "holly crap who knows"?

Is that accurate lol

Same point as above. Rooms filled with unproven, unproductive, lower rated recruit players are "strengths". "strength" to them apparently is "well we have a lot of players at that position"

I still remember how sure people were that Mallett should start over Henne, or that O'Korn should start over Speight. I'm sure people will clamor for JJ this fall

It's always good when a QB can be the next Wilton Speight!

Brandstatter also basically says “Don’t dig too deep, cause most of the big donors are older folks that love Bo, so that could hurt fundraising.”

I could never stand listening to that prick - I don’t mind finding a legitimate reason to loathe him.
