After watching Alabama put up 52 in the title game and then these 2 games, I'm very worried this may be a Alamo Bowl season while they reorganize.
This poor D is now in year 2. Scheme, talent or both ? If it had to happen, I suppose it's better now than later. Forces their hand to make changes instead of thinking" But we still won ". Blinders should have been off last year.

At least we beat scUM that year. I don't want to envision a world going two seasons without that happening.

Interesting tidbit from BTN's show. The last time an OSU defense gave up this many points in back-to-back games was 1891, the second year of football at OSU.
And we had to ban people from the message boards after that Western Reserve game at Recreation Park.

Of course, I mean the walk around type of board hung on a person’s shoulders.

Not sure what they said, but in 1981 tOSU gave up 33 in a win at Purdue, followed by 35 in a loss at Minnesota.

And the 1988 team gave up at least 31 in 5 straight games, 4 of which were losses.

The 1990 team gave up 35 and 31 in back-to-back home losses to USC and Illinois.

The great 2006 season ended up allowing 39 and 41 in the last 2 games.

The 2012 team allowed 38 and 49 in consecutive games.

The 2013 team’s final 3 games allowed 41, 34, and 40.

2017 allowed 38 (win over Penn St) and 55 in back-to-back games.

2018 had 49 and 31 together, and later 51 (Md in OT) and 39.

They could have been talking about 118 points in a 3-game total, counting Bama, I think that’s the only thing that would be true.
