I may be wrong on this but I put my koolaid in the fridge. Kirby Smart Defense> Combs Defense.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of Kool aid. And last I checked Smart has yet to be a consistently good team. Wake me when Smart doesn't blow a game he should win, or even get multiple defensive players drafted in the 1st round.
I'll wait on my judgment of Coombs. And I'll happily eat Crow if at seasons end UGA has a better ending than OSU

If we're going to be critical of Coombs based on last year, then we should criticize UGA in the same way. Because with 1 game, UGA beat a suspect Clemson team. And in 2020, they almost lost to a G5 UC team, would they still be considered so good then? They also barely beat a 4 win Miss St team. So was that Clemson really as good as people are making it out to be, or is it another example of CFB preseason rating teams higher than they should be rated and altering our perspective? It happens every year in CFB(which I've been against pre season rankings for so long).
Jesus…I was just saying Georgia has great LBs

What the champions grade & snaps played says about the defense (if one game says anything):

S: Proctor and Hickman separated themselves as the top two. The staff had a lot of confidence in Ransom, but Shaw graded better in limited PT.
CB: Burke is the top reserve. Pray Banks and Brown stay healthy, because there's a drop off to Watts. McCall, still learning the position, got more snaps than Cavazos. Both made mistakes.
LB: Mitchell and Eichenberg are the top two. Simon and Gant got about equal PT. Simon got a sack. Gant had a RTP that negated a TO. Chambers, while a work in progress at his new position, not only earned a travel roster spot but played.
DT: Garrett, Vincent, and Jackson did their jobs.
DE: Harrison continues to fulfill his role and play under control, despite not producing the 'wow' plays we anticipated. Smith and JBB did not play up to the standard. Tuimoloau is well ahead of Sawyer.

Guys you must have not seen it. Proctor had his calf completely snap in half. Not coming back this year.

We just need to pray the kid has a complete recovery for normal life.

He was the best secondary player but now it's next man up.
