You can keep telling yourself that but it won't change the narrative. It was already going before Iliinois lost.

Loyola was underseeded, but Illinois was a 1 seed and Loyola controlled that game from start to finish. At no point did it feel like Illinois was going to win.

As for Oral Roberts, get ready to hear more shit about the Buckeyes when Florida beats ORU by 20+ tonight. Just gotta take our medicine.

New Final Four prediction:

Ohio vs Abilene Christian
Loyola vs Oral Roberts

Loyola takes down the Bobcats for the title.

I think it's more the issue of B1G teams posting up in the paint, banging each other, and you see teams like Loyola (and Ohio last night), just moving all the time.

These teams aren't getting into a banging contest. ORU spread the floor and got open looks all day against the Bucks, who got caught up trying to match them from outside.

I talked myself out of taking Oregon over Iowa but now I'm thinking that was probably a mistake. Iowa's weakness is perimeter defense and Oregon has three point shooters throughout their lineup. The PAC 12 is also looking better than expected while the B1G is...well...

This is such a horrible take. You're allowed to make a bracket and then root for the fun upsets in spite of it. I've got Illinois in the final game, but you're not doing it right if you aren't rooting for the underdogs when your favorite team isn't involved.
