Buckeye Planeteers, Friends, Guests, Football Fans all,
As many of you may have noticed, there hasn't been a concerted fundraising effort for some time. No, BuckeyePlanet is not not magically self sustaining.
So, we need to raise some money, and we need to do it and it needs us to last the offseason!
1. We need to pay the hosting fees which are $250+ a month. (And if we do the Math from last year, the $5000 goal as too low.
2. We are in need of software upgrades, the number here is on the order of $1000 for labor and licensing. This is still outstanding so, that's why we have to up the number.
3. We need to raise enough money to cover hosting fees through next September or so.
So, how much do we need right now to take care of those 3 items.
And this is sort of the MINIMUM number to keep the site online:
$5000.
$7000!

FAQs:
I know some of you guys have questions, and I don't have answers, but I will try to anticipate just a few here, and will update with more as time goes on.
1. Q: Why haven't
@Clarity and
@LongwoodBuck been more visible?
A: Myriad personal reasons, but this is still their baby and want to see it succeed as long as there is a need for a community like ours.
2. Q: Why haven't I gotten my usual Thank You for donating?
A: Thank you! We're going to see about getting some help where its needed with that.
3. Q: What about new spiffy awesome banners?
A: I have no idea how to do it, but its on the radar of things we'd like to do.
4. Q: What about the future and leadership/direction for the site going forward.
A: There are a few people having very preliminary discussions regarding that, I don't have any update. I do, however know, if we don't get a few bucks raised, that's not going to be a problem anymore.
