2021 Fall Camp and Other Tidbits

its not right to do this to many people…..it’s unfortunate. I hope OSU is better than isolating and dismissing players who don’t want the vaccine for whatever reason.

As an FYI, I am vaccinated.
This has been going on for years went to Ohio State in 2005 certain vaccinations were required before the anti-vax nonsense began. Certain vaccinations are still required to go to Ohio State this is just another to list. There will probably be more on the list in the next 20 years as well. This isn't novel so we shouldn't let people try to treat it as such.

And thank God they do require those. It’s really disturbing how far we have fallen as a society so quickly away from science and into this dark realm of anti-anything social media propaganda. I blame RFK Jr. who is a part of this cult against (literally) life-saving medicinal advancements

Yeah not to go political but I'm vaccinated also I support those who make the decision not to get vaccinated.

That said, I don't get it for those not getting vaccinated. But it's their decision and who knows maybe this really ends up like I Am Legend and the people who took the vaccines end up being fast zombies.

I blame the whole rise of you're a special snow flake and I support your ability to believe something incredibly stupid even if it's a verifiably stupid mentality that has been given rise over the 30+ years.

If this pandemic has taught me anything. Leaving things up to people's "personal responsibility and not aggressively fighting misinformation, speculation/misconception, and sometimes downright lies is a huge a mistake. Just putting the correct information out there and expecting people to believe in science is apparently a terrible approach as seen in the rise of vaccine hesitancy and whatever the hell flat earth is over the last few decades,

I don't support them, because it puts others at higher risk. It's selfish and stupid.

Some of you guys don't know history that well do you? I see all these people/groups being blamed for "anti-vaxxers," but you can't find a time in history where there wasn't firm opposition to vaccines. Even going back to the late 1700s and smallpox. There were actual riots where they screamed "kill the vaccinated" in the late 1800s when it was made mandatory to take smallpox vaccine in Canada.

None of this is new and you're doing yourself a disservice to blame a person or a group of people for it.

What about curtailing the governments ability to tell you what you must do with your own body (or that of your children)?

There's more to it than a group of people all being a bunch of knuckle dragging morons.

True, but the knuckle dragging part is sufficient to explain it.

The knuckle dragging part also explains the people who can't wrap their pea brains around the fact that many doctors do not agree with the FDA's list of contraindications for these vaccines. My own doctor says that the vaccine is contraindicated for me, for reasons I'd rather not get into with people other than him. He is not, by the way, into alternative medicine in any way, shape, matter or form. He is not an anti-vaxer and neither am I.

But there are two completely separate discussions here. One is medical, and that is not a discussion for this board at all. The other is political, and has to do entirely with the fact that there are people who think it's their business to insert themselves between me and my doctor. Have that discussion on the poli board. Neither discussion belongs in this thread.
