Bush isn't wrong, scUM does have (and has had) NFL talent in the program. They dont have enough of it, though, and that's part of the problem. This isn't basketball where you can have a guy or two and a bunch of roll players. You need high level talent at multiple positions- almost the opposite of basketball. Which is to say, you can probably hide 1 or 2 guys on a football field. More than that, you need talented depth as well, and scUM doesn't have that. This is especially clear across the D Line, for example.

Not a single top-100 recruit for 2020 in the updated 247 composite.

Well before Urban, Saban and Dabo took recruiting to a new level, every coach would tell you that you can't afford to have a bad recruiting class. Not one. You'll have holes in the roster/feel the effects for years type of thing.

These dickbags have what, one good one ('19) out of the last four?

Good luck keeping up with the superpowers with that kind of recruiting.

2020 looks pretty mediocre. Decent national ranking, but as per usual with them, that's largely quantity over quality. 2019 looks good on paper, but so did 2017 which has turned out to be an unmitigated disaster due to insane amounts of attrition. 2018 was really bad.

Recruiting is just one piece of the issues up there. They're recruiting just fine if they are going to accept 9-4, middle of the pack in their division finishes. It's not even in the same stratosphere where it needs to be to compete with the big boys.

And there are more glaring issues than Jimmy's and Joe's. They aren't developing the few blue-chippers they get and many of them are bailing on the program after a year or two. Guys that have no business trying the NFL draft are leaving because they know another year isn't helping them. Their in game coaching is not good. And more and more accounts of general atmosphere problems around the program are coming out.

Jimmah is entering year six and it's very, very hard to look at their program objectively and find one positive about it.

Now if you'll excuse me, after typing all of that, I have to go feed the geese.

Because USC, Texas, OU have great reputations.
They pay Harbaugh what? 7 8 9mil?
Dont tell me they have no bagmen. At this point i take it for granted every school that can pay NFL rates for their staff has bagmen.

You know, it’s the schools that pay staff NFL rates and don’t have bagmen are the real cheaters.
