I hope every scum player watched today's games and feels ashamed. Mostly ashamed at their leadership, as well they should be.

They are wretchedly pathetic.

Do we even know how many football players were out? From what I'm seeing they had a total of 13 positive test (9 athletes/4 staff) across the entire AD and are refusing to break it down by sport. I was on the fence whether they were deliberately ducking us or not, but I have no doubt now.

Nah, I think any real men transferred out when they realized what they had stumbled into. The ones that remained were probably all in on ducking out of their ass whipping.

This is just a guess (below), but I hope scUM gets a game at Iowa, after losses in the first 2 games (Purdue & NW) Iowa is playing really good football. Iowa is ranked #16 and could move up Tuesday too..........8D

Big Ten Champions Week final projections: Rutgers’ 2 potential matchups after Maryland win; rivalry games re-scheduled?

With all that said, here are our best guesses for what Champions Week will look like:

Champions Week matchups with Michigan State-Maryland re-schedule:
  • Big Ten Championship Game: Ohio State vs. Northwestern
  • Purdue at Indiana
  • Minnesota at Wisconsin
  • Michigan State at Maryland
  • Michigan at Iowa
  • Penn State at Illinois
  • Rutgers at Nebraska

My guess is contact tracing led to many more being ruled out.

How many of our guys were positive for Illinois game?

So my questions about the contract tracing theory; If some single digit number were positive and it infected the 40+ number we keep hearing, what the fuck kind of protocols were they running up there? Did they have a team wide Twister party or something?

Let's just say for arguments sake that you did have protocols so lax to allow for an instant outbreak in the 40's, how did you avoid such an out break up to this point? I seem to recall some very on brand, smug bragging about not having a single positive test well into thousands of tests.

IF this was a huge COVID outbreak, the timing is awfully convenient. We'll know for sure here in a week or so if they show up for the cross over game.

I personally think they have a bunch of guys who quit, a la LSU, mixed with some legit COVID issues but lack the depth (specifically at QB) to feel like they could compete up to their normal *ichigan *an bullshit standards. Which, again, would be completely on brand for them. Arrogant, delusional and cowardly.

So my questions about the contract tracing theory...
You obviously don't understand epidemiology or the multiplicative nature of infectious disease spread. When your roster has just had contact with triple overtime at Rutgers and an at-home bitch-slap from winless Penn State, with @OSU on the horizon, that traces to a multi-week quarantine.

This might be verging into the realm of conspiracy theory, but I'm starting to think that the scUM players mutinied and refused to play The Game, and that the scUM AD/Admin looked for some sort of plausible way out of playing.

Harbaugh, for all his faults, doesn't seem like the type who would duck anybody, and an epic ass kicking would've forced scUM to fire him and pay his buy out, thereby giving him an easy way to get back into the NFL.

The COVID numbers as reported don't get scUM into cancelation range, and the squirrelly language in the scUM press releases doesn't even say how many COVIDs were in the football program in particular as opposed to the athletic department in general.

That leaves a player revolt and a cover up as the best explanation, IMHO.
Maybe my conspiracy theory has some basis in fact....
