I have absolute faith that SEC will play every game come hell or high water.

I have similar faith that PAC will fuck it up, and scUM will take PAC's lead for the moral high ground.
I expect B1G, as an academic collective - not the athletic leadership - to figure something out with or without Michigan.

I know the immediate response from most Buckeye fans is going to be: "Good! Screw Michigan until they quit the sport!"

But if Michigan really does cancel football this year, it will not only ruin their program for several years (good thing), it will also ruin the careers of dozens of players (bad thing). If it happens, let's hope that the NCAA at least gives the players the ability to transfer with immediate eligibility.

Michigan Man has basked in his school's holier-than-thou smugness for years. The irony of watching that smugness now possibly destroy their football program for good is just so damned enjoyable.

They guy seems to not understand why people are laughing at him for excluding Ohio State commits.

He actually thinks its some kind of victory that he got a bunch of people pointing out how hilariously sad it is and it "just proves Ohio State fans are idiots"

DFBIA at its finest. Congrats are being #2......in the division. In recruiting......

Another failure of the OP for this chart is not looking at the broader context - i.e. the trend over time.

Going back to 2016 the number of UM recruits in my new favorite category for recruiting - BIG TEN EASTERN DIVISION OTHER THAN OHIO STATE - the numbers for Michigan look like this:
2016 - 6 of 10
2017 - 7 of 10
2018 - 4 of 10
2019 - 3 of 10
2020 - 5 of 10

I am not impressed. They are simply trying to get back to where Harbaugh had them when he first came on board and was recruiting off of his name.

But there are some interesting stories here.
PSU has gone, in sequence - 4-2-6-4-3 to 1 in the current class.

While Maryland has gone from a total of 4 players in the 5 years from 2016 to 2020 (with never more than 1 in a class) to the current class with 3.

Of course 2021 is not yet over. UM is favored for a couple of other highly ranked kids - but only a couple. PSU on the other hand is in on several. And based on current projections OSU - from here until signing day - is on course to out-recruit everyone in the division despite already holding the #1 spot in the nation. In other words, we will push the starting point for counting those 10 non-OSU spots even further down the overall list.

But of course the real story. The glorious headline. UM is now excluding OSU from recruiting comparisons altogether. A flat out admission for whoever subscribes to this table that they have indeed given up at least this component of the competition.

It's like counting the number of Division Championships Michigan would have won without OSU. (Which by the way would be exactly ONE.)

I'm shocked there hasent been a flood of DFBIA taking their usual faux moral high ground with the whole Michigan might not have football this fall thing. "THOSE OTHER SCHOOLS DONT CARE ABOUT THE PLAYERS AT ALL OR THEYD SHUT DOWN AND KEEP THEM SAFE LIKE MICHIGAN!"

I did see one in that GoBlow thread referring to people who dont want to wear masks as "sociopaths" though. That was good
