Two things I’ve been holding onto for 8 to 10 years, I think I can finally let them go.

I’ve never forgiven Gene Smith for screwing up the 2012 season by not proactively accepting no bowl after the sad 2011 regular season. I think it will come out that he was a major force in getting this thing turned around, and for that, I’ll finally let that 2011/12 bowl decision go. Well done, Gene.

I’ve also never forgiven the folks in Nebraska for initiating the FOIA request into the email exchanges between Tom Osborne and Jim Tressel, which caused tOSU to find the emails that got JT in trouble and unleashed the whole TatGate debacle. I also think the pressure from the folks in Nebraska was meaningful in getting 2020 restarted. And because of this, I’m willing to forgive that decade-old FOIA request.

I’m in a forgiving mood. I know that TTUN President Mark Schlissel may not have been the biggest proponent of bringing football back, but ... OK, who am I kidding? FUCK Michigan!!!
