scUM is scum, and deserve all of the contempt we hold for them. But they don't get to play by special rules reserved only for them. That treatment is only afforded to ND. Worst of all, "subway alums" feel entitled to it.
Last season was a perfect example. Because of ND's special sorta-kinda-almost an ACC team treatment, they enjoyed Championship Saturday sitting on their couches instead of getting their asses handed to them by Clemson. No big deal, unless you're the 5th place team in the CFP ranking who got screwed as a result. Whether that team was Ohio State or Cornfield Tech it's bullshit, but mention it to an ND fan and you get waved off. They're ND. They deserve exclusive TV deals and special rules.
I hate ND as much as I hate scUM, just for different reasons. So when they play my motivation is always whatever is best for Ohio State that season. Since we always get the chance to thump scUM but rarely ND, more often than not the Domers taking it up the ass is the preferred option. We'll take care of TTUN next month.
