You realize that ND plays exactly 0 ranked teams after Michigan? You realize that they do not have to play a CCG?
Now suppose that, oh any number of scenarios, tOSU and ND go undefeated, but ND steamrolls Michigan @ Michigan, while the Bucks squeeze out a fourth quarter win as the wolverines give it their best shot of the season for poor old Hairball. Who do you think the New York, Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia, ACC, media is going to see as the better team for the CFBP?
Or, both teams roll Michigan, but Minnie gives the Bucks fits in the CCG and we win by a field goal? How many Media outlets does NBC own? Do you think they're going to vote the Bucks over the Irish.
No! Hate Michigan all you want. Enjoy their failures. I sure do. But keep your eye on the prize. Know the battles you can win and the battles you can't. We can beat Michigan. They're on our schedule every year, but we can't beat a team that isn't on our schedule. You know those T-shirts, "Ohio Against the World"? That's the Buckeyes against an ND they can't meet on the football field.

Like you, I normally root for TTUN when they play the Domers. But a couple of things - I won't ever say or post the two words that you finished your previous post with, one word was Go and the second one was a color. Because that sounds like heresy to the rivalry.
Secondly, there's no way in hell an undefeated Buckeye team, which currently leads the nation in margin of victory by a significant amount, is bypassed by a Domers team that has a loss and won't have a win over a top-10 team. That's just bat-shit conspiracy theory crazy. Now if the Buckeyes get a loss but win the CCG, then there could be a bit of a concern based on how close various results might be the rest of the way. But at that point, the Domers lack of a CCG and a 13th data point would be a negative for them. And the Buckeyes get as many eyeballs on TV sets as the Domers do, so potential ratings isn't a serious concern for me at this point in time.
I will probably try to root for TTUN in this game, since I think it's better for tOSU long-term that the Domers aren't considered a powerful team on the field (for recruiting, mainly); but once they kick the ball in this meteor game I sometimes can't help pulling for the other side.
Either way, it's always good to watch one of those teams get beat.

Wanna make $14 the hard way?
The DFBIA's biggest security blanket is being the leader in all-time wins. The sooner they get knocked from that perch, the better. To do that, they need to lose as many games as possible, while other teams win as many as possible. The fact that it will likely be tOSU that knocks them from the top spot makes it that much sweeter.

Personally, I’m just looking forward to watching an absolute clown show. I want both teams to deliver film worthy of its very own football follies release. I want four quarters of head-scratching fumbles and complete ineptitude. I want wide open dropped balls and bad snaps. I want someone to take a turnover 90 yards in the wrong direction and then toss the ball to the stands in celebration.
Then I want both disgustingly ugly fan bases to start talking about the lack of hope for the future of the programs.

You realize they already have 1 loss right? That they don't get a CCG to make a statement in?
Undefeated OSU has zero to worry about from a 1 loss ND.
If OSU is no longer undefeated they are in a beauty contest with more teams than the Domers.
Any tsun win is, to some degree or another, an OSU loss. Never, ever wish for that.

I’ll be honest here: I don’t have much issue with ND. My childhood best friend is a lifelong ND fan so I actually follow them a tad to be able to discuss them with him and vice versa.
UM loss every time. 0-12; pure misery. I want that fan base to stop caring about football. I’ll never understand the “it would be great if they were competitive.” Fuck them. I want each and every season to feel absolutely hopeless. I’ll never feel that degree of hatred toward ND. I’m literally incapable of hating a school, state or team as much as I hate ttun. It’s never going to happen.
