2019 Week 6 CFB Open Thread

tOSU shouldn't need wins over "good AAC teams" to "bolster" our resume. There was a time when wins over ttun, PSU, Corn were meaningful.

It's a fact. These days a Wiscy win matters but a ttun win is expected and the Peds are overrated.

I'd MUCH rather have a strong B1G than lean on Cinci wins for CFP cred. That's all I'm saying.

No it's not but we'll pretend like it is....

BTN just said that Kent State is last in the nation in rushing defense.

If Wiscy wants to get Taylor some momentum in the Heisman race, 25 carries should be good for about 300 yards and 4-to-5 TDs today.

If any team is set up to emulate Wiscy's success against a weak TTUN D-line, it's Iowa.

Another BTN tidbit - Rutgers is the first B1G team since Illinois in 1978 to be shoutout in their first two conference games.

Oddly enough, the Illini were not 0-2 after that. Before the season, Sports Illustrated said "Is either team good enough to win the Illinois-Northwestern game?", and they opened their season with a scoreless tie.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Now with OT it's even worse

Didn't a couple of ACC teams go to multiple OT's scoreless a while back?

Wake being one of them?
