I spent a few months living in Cinci in 1990 while my ex did an internship at Jewish Hospital. The KY flavor of the people was significantly different than Columbus.A high percentage of those living in Cincinnati (and Butler Co.) have their roots in KY, and still feel an affinity for KY.
Neither my family nor my wife's owned half of eastern KY, but we are also living proof. She grew up in Fairfield and I grew up in Fairfield Township. Her parents, my grandparents on both sides came up from eastern KY. The entire knob is from KY.Truth. I'm living proof. My family used to own the entire eastern half of Kentucky in the early 1800's. I grew up in Butler Co. and a ton of my family are retired from Armco, prior to it being called AK Steel.
