All I know is that I do not want to see them in the ACC challenge next season.. Let ttun get waxed by them. I would not mind taking a shot at Dooookkkk next year or even the boys from Chapel Hill.Virginia only graduates Jack Salt
DeAndre Hunter is a sure-fire lottery pick, but still crazy to think about what they could return.
we've played duke three times and uva, unc, and fsu twice. any of those opponents would surprise me. uva will undoubtedly face either msu or ttun. probably msu while duke plays ttun. cuse probably makes the most sense for us yet again. we're due a road game and cuse is due a home game. both programs had comparable seasons, though i'm not seeing cuse in any preseason polls. usually similar teams are paired. louisville makes some sense for osu; however, a home game for them means they'd already be at a 4-2 location advantage. All I know is that I do not want to see them in the ACC challenge next season.. I think @ Cuse makes the most sense. Second most likely I would pick @ NC St. I know the Challenge organizers love rematches from the tourney and prior season. I can see why they would not pair UM and UNC a third year in a row, but OSU was the 8th place team in the B1G, they try to match up similar strength programs relatively speaking and there is plenty of depth in the ACC to give OSU one of the lesser teams like Cuse or NC St. Certainly UM, MSU and MD seem primed to be matched with the top 3 ACC teams in some order.we've played duke three times and uva, unc, and fsu twice. any of those opponents would surprise me. uva will undoubtedly face either msu or ttun. probably msu while duke plays ttun. cuse probably makes the most sense for us yet again. we're due a road game and cuse is due a home game. both programs had comparable seasons, though i'm not seeing cuse in any preseason polls. usually similar teams are paired. louisville makes some sense for osu; however, a home game for them means they'd already be at a 4-2 location advantage.
if hazarding a guess, i'm going with cuse first, l'ville second, and unc third as our likely opponents. based on espn's current rankings, though, maryland and osu splitting the l'ville and unc games makes the most sense.
edit: l'ville is making less sense. we're definitely due a road game and we already played them at their place five years ago. i'm going with either cuse at cuse or unc at unc.
Idk, Martin has only made one NCAA Tournament at South Carolina. Cincinnati is probably a better job even if it's in a less prestigious conference.Wow. That would be big for Cincinnati, but he is probably just using them for a raise.
