i don't particularly care what we're seeded as long as we win one game for the sake of the team's confidence. the selection committee has made it known that conference tournaments carry little weight when seeding teams. in fact, it may even be disadvantageous for osu to play more than two games since our lineup has shortened. all that an extra game prior to the ncaa tournament means to me is that it's another opportunity for kyle young to reaggravate the injury. sure, the same risk applies to the illinois and msu games, but at least those games have a greater impact on our eventual seeding.

oh, totally agree. I agree that we do not need to play more than two games. I was just thinking that the Purdue game probably would be a nice win and then we could probably bow out the following game.Holtmann was talking about playing guys too many minutes during his post game radio show and he said that he would like to cut down on the minutes that guys are getting but does not know how with his limited roster.

no doubt. playing purdue before msu looks good to me. better than, say, facing minny again or giving ttun the chance to ruin our sweep. playing nebraska/indiana before wisky also wouldn't be bad, though losing 3 times to the badgers is not something i want to see.

Rutgers curb stomping Maryland right now 59-42. If Rutgers wins this then loses at Purdue will they really miss the tournament ? They would have only 1 win away from home but have a boat load of great home wins and a 10-10 record in the best conference.

If they win tonight I think if they win either at Purdue or win their 1st game in the Big Ten tournament they get in. Hope they don't play us in the 1st game because I would like to see them make the tournament.

Rutgers is probably in after this win. Considering a lot of the other teams on the bubble, even with the lack of road wins it’s hard to see them getting left out.

No team since like 1994 has got at large bid with fewer than 3 wins away from home. They only have 1. That said hard to leave them out but I would suggest winning 1 more game for Rutgers before selection Sunday.
