I find it fascinating that for 2 1/4 seasons Underwood was stubborn about his defensive scheme at Illinois and they were lousy on D. He finally bends on the scheme and it is like a switch flipped and Illinois suddenly looks great on D.

That's always been my beef with him. His defensive system wasn't going to work. Forcing turnovers was nice but that doesn't mean much when you're giving up at least 4-5 easy baskets a game because the other team figured out your press.

The Terps went 4 for 22 from downtown which, coupled with their explosion vs OSU, should get them back to their season average.

I firmly believe the B1G is the best conference in college basketball this season. They certainly seem to have the most NCAA tournament-caliber teams.
