2019-20 Bowl games (non-CFP) thread

No you don't. The BIG went 7-1 in bowls two years ago and 5-4 against a tough slate last year and it didn't do much to change perception. You change perception when:

1. Ohio State wins the natty this year; and

2. FOX, as it did this year, provides counter propaganda to SEC/ACCESPN.

The single biggest factor in the perception of the BIG is the degree to which Ohio State dominates, wins, loses, or shits the bed in the biggest games.
So with regards to #2, I like our chances with FOX providing opposing spin. Just sayin

Truth.

Making a bowl was fool's gold for Illinois. Lovie Smith defense is garbage when they can't force turnovers. So many missed tackles, taking terrible angles, frequently give up large pass plays. Next year will be the "high" water mark, probably go something like 7-5, then it's downhill again. I see no reason for optimism after 2020.

Not sure I'be ever seen 3 delay of game penalties in one game before. One before a crucial 4th down. Stupidity beyond words.
