My point is: if you're going after the refs, why not the coaches.

And I'm NOT saying GA should be in if they lose, but Bama will be even if they lose, so it's actually in Saban's long term interest to lose the game.

Again, recruiting..... "Look kid, the B1G and Big 12 are good conferences, but we're putting two teams in the playoffs, are they?" It cuts into tOSU and B1G recruiting long term...... makes it easier.

Saban is going to be a legend whether he wins a game like this or not. There's an actual recruiting and long term TV contact advantage to the SEC having 2 teams in the playoffs.

Guys like Nick Saban are not wired this way. Also, it's easier for him to have talent dispersed to other conferences rather than having it concentrated among SEC teams that he has to play.
