2018 Week 12 CFB Open Thread

They deserve a week off in November because they beat on each other all season!

Every other P5 should go back to 8 conference/4 OOC games.

They're playing scrubs but the whole SEC basically still gets a +1 win boost since they are playing said scrubs instead of each other a whole extra week. Once again making the whole conference look better than it probably is.

Given that rankings are all about having 3-4 losses at most... those 9th conference games really do cause a lot of shit. On average, it's another 0.5 loss across the conference and causes a lot of bubble teams to drop out of the Top25.

Take a look at the number of teams that will be bowl eligible in B1G vs SEC. The B1G teams need to work miracles but the SEC team get an extra win. I think Vandy is the only team that needs to win the next two and they played ND in one of their OOC games.

Ole Miss and Tennessee are the examples of benefiting from that free extra win this year. Both are 1 win away from 6. If they had to play that extra conference game theres a high chance they are both 2 away from 6 at this moment.

Hilariously, Vanderbilt's last 2 games are against both Ole Miss and Tennessee.

Also, I'm beginning to think the winner of the game is the one with the better training staff.

I predict a weird ass safety next.

Memphis hadn't beaten anyone with a pulse all season, SMU comes in on a roll - beating Houston and taking Cincinnati to OT - so of course the Mustangs shit the bed at home.
