As a Browns fan, I absolutely would not take Barkley. There's going to be a good RB available at the 33 or 35 spot.

At this point, I'd probably say Minkah Fitzpatrick, if they stay in the 4 spot. Wild card pick for me would be if Thomas retires. In that case, I'd greatly consider taking Quentin Nelson and kicking Joel Bitonio out to left tackle. There may also be some major trade down opportunities depending on what the Giants and Colts do at 2 and 3. If they both stay in their slots and go non-QB, that 4th pick becomes extremely valuable to a team coveting one of the remaining QBs.

He's not without flaws, but if he's treated/developed properly (i.e. not thrown out there as a rookie), I think he's the kind of QB you can build a franchise around. Yeah, he's cocky and seems to be something of a prick, but a lot of great QBs are. Draft him #1, sign a veteran to start in 2018 and DO NOT play him. Get some offensive weapons in the 2018 & 2019 drafts and FA periods and turn the reigns over to him in 2019. They do that, they might finally be on the right path to digging this shit franchise out of the hole they've been in for two decades.

That, of course, all depends on them exercising some patience...something they haven't shown the ability/willingness to do for 20 years...

I have said this before. We should not trade down because this team is so young already. We need to get some veteran players (mid to late 20 guys). I think we should trade up for quality purposes. Bundle a second and third rounder and get back into the first-round. Maybe bundle a couple of fourth-round picks and get back into the second..

Take Rosen #1 and BPA with all of the other picks. No point in targetting specific positions because they need help everywhere.

Browns strategy should be BPATPSE.

Best Player Available then Pick Someone Else

Seriously, they should write down everyone they think they should take if available, then just don't take those guys.
