Did they discuss or even mention those suspensions at all during the broadcast? I didn't watch. I don't think it's at all paranoid to assume it would have been listed among the crimes of the century had this occurred at tOSU.
Other than to state Dexter Lawrence was suspended for testing positive "for a drug", no it was not brought up.
If tOSU made the playoff, and had (3) players all test positive for the exact same steroid, without a doubt, it'd be headline news. It'd have been the biggest story heading into the playoffs. And god forbid, had we won, the reporters touching down in Columbus today to figure out how systemic the use is........it'd have been a nightmare.
I'm glad Dabo said "they're going to get to the bottom of it" though. His kids all denied using it as a steroid, and "it's something you could maybe get from a hair gel or something like that".....lol....you can't. I'd recommend the trainers stop putting Ostarine in the salt shakers at the training table. As an FYI, Osarine is the same steroid Jon "Bones" Jones has been caught using a couple times. It's an oral steroid that works like anabolic steroids, but not nearly the negative side-effects. It's biggest benefit is that instead of massive muscle growth, you get a leaner, more "cut" figure. It also helps stamina. So basically something a defensive/offensive lineman would love to use.
As a side-note, it'd be really interesting to know exactly how many Clemson players were tested. Were 25 guys tested, or 7? Because 3 of 7 is much different than 3 of 25. In the CFP, it's known the NCAA ramps up testing (Saban complained after 2016 playoffs about it), but they don't release any additional information other than if a player has been suspended. It'd be very interesting to see the total amount of Clemson players tested to have a better idea of any potential systemic abuse.
I can't wait to hear Clemson report their findings. It was probably just a weird side-effect from their shampoo or something, I'm sure.......
