You're crazy. Look at their recruiting class this year
Look at it every year. Saban, for years, had a system and stability on his staff. Lately, that ain’t so. Their D was always their identity; this year, it was seriously flawed. They used to kick your ass running the ball behind 5 maulers on the OL; their OL looked flawed in several games. I’ve never seen a dynasty-era Saban team get their dicks kicked in the dirt like that. I’m not saying they’re gonna slump to 8-5 next year, or even miss the playoffs, but every dynasty ends eventually...and it kinda felt like that...to me, anyway.

Aside from Tua and his lil bro coming in, and the WRs ... what's really awe inspiring about Bama? Their OL was trash. Back seven was trash. DL didn't get one sack all night.

For a team that has stockpiled 5-stars for about 8 years in a row they've had weak links all over for a long, long time.

They've gotten more second chances than anybody else for a decade cause dey SEC (which has had a losing bowl record for 4 years now). That's their legacy.

Tua is clearly overhyped. He is a very good player, I'm not saying he is bad, but I wouldn't be salivating about the future prospect of picking him if I was an NFL GM. He is set up to succeed greatly being the QB at Bama. He did not deserve the Heisman over Murray, who was clearly the more dynamic player. He at times has a poor feel for what the defense is doing and throws some reckless passes, seems to get baited easily. Plus he is severely injury prone. He has a lot of improvement to make before I would consider him as worthy of a 1st round pick in a year from now. And he just fell behind Trevor Lawrence in the Heisman race for next year.

Him being a lefty is arguably the biggest risk for an NFL team.

I don’t agree. Clemson tricked him tonight. He was inadequately prepared for the looks he was going to get.

He’s had two difficult games in his career. In one of those, he got injured on the fourth play of the game.

The problems he has are holding the ball too long, refusing to check down, and being fragile. We will see if he can fix that next year.
