How weak were they when at least 2 of them are projected to be drafted in the top 3 rounds?Obviously the staff knows exactly what they are doing. Wilson is probably influencing thoughts on offensive position groups already. The WR group battled the O Line for weakest on team and 3 of the best 4 IMO are gone (Brown, Samuel and Wilson) with KJ being only one returning (and to a much lesser degree TM and PC)
So a really weak position group last year was gutted. And we are looking at adding Grimes, White, Harris and potentially Robinson? Sounds like an excellent fix to me especially when added to a second year Mack, Victor, McCall and EGW.
Oh, and Wilson as the puppet master.
That's what I would call addressing the problem. Big time.
Edit: and I might add a returning TE group who certainly has plenty of potential.
The position group was very weak. Not sure that is even debatable but hey, everyone has an opinion. How weak were they when at least 2 of them are projected to be drafted in the top 3 rounds?
It makes no sense to me. We call the position group weak and 2 guys are projected first three rounders and two others are projected as most likely free agents. The position group was very weak. Not sure that is even debatable but hey, everyone has an opinion.
Ok. Agree to disagree. Carry on.It makes no sense to me. We call the position group weak and 2 guys are projected first three rounders and two others are projected as most likely free agents.
The same was said last year and all three made NFL rosters. It is not an easy thing to do to make an NFL roster. Again, we have two guys that are projected as early rounders. That is not weak by any definition.
The offensive scheme and play calling sucked, the players did not. More guys in that group will wind up getting drafted too I am willing to bet next year.

Just circling back on this. Kind of interesting the article posted after our posts earlier. It makes no sense to me. We call the position group weak and 2 guys are projected first three rounders and two others are projected as most likely free agents.

I have seen Noah Brown projected as a possible 2nd-3rd round pick. Then again, that site also projects Dontre Wilson for rounds 3-4, which seems high for him.
Like I said, last year guys on here were blaming Zone 6 too. And look what they are doing in the Pros. Can't Guard Mike is a PERFECT example. Had shit numbers last year and is now a star. The offensive scheme is to blame, as is the play calling. Jim Leonard summed it up perfectly. The Wisky DBs knew exactly what to expect, practiced for it for 2 weeks, and saw exactly during the game what they expected and practiced for. Lynn Swann and Jerry Rice would look like they had little to no talent in that turd they called an offense last year.Just circling back on this. Kind of interesting the article posted after our posts earlier.
