I honestly can't recall any year where I've been this impressed with how basically all our players look physically. The entire defensive line looks incredible and good God if Chase Young isn't enormous.

The defense in particular looks physically imposing. Sheffield looks like a LB as does Smith at safety.

Just impressive

:drunks::yay2::cheers::popcorn:...that is how I feel generally. I have been relegated to baseball, racing and other nonsense sports on the TV for too long. Now on to observations from the O-Zone notes:

1) OL: Interesting that Burrell gets the initial nod over Knox at RG...rooting for Knox to push through finally but glad that it seems Burrell has made strides. Also, no Jamarco Jones and very interesting that Bowen was first team in his place at LT...and Pridgeon was second team at RG. Can't figure out for the life of me why Pridgeon is playing guard instead of tackle...we'll see how it plays out, but it would be very disappointing if he doesn't end up as a starting tackle in his time here. Curious to see if Wyatt Davis makes a play, I think he breaks the two-deep at least.

2) Erick Smith getting the nod at safety is exciting to me...always showed potential but was in a log-jam. Hope he has a huge year.

3) Still blows my mind that Brendon White is with the safeties...no idea how he is going to play that position at his size

I know it's only day one, but I expected to see both Jordan Fuller and Shaun Wade in this unofficial depth chart.

Watched Chrisman punt in high school, and (knock on wood) I think we're in good shape in the punting department. He got great hang time, placement, and distance when necessary under intense pressure from Colerain. Have to imagine that he has improved in the two years since then...

Ryan Ginn's thoughts (from article I posted above):
Pridgeon was recruited as an offensive tackle but missed all of 2016 with a right knee injury he sustained during fall practice. That ensured Isaiah Prince won the right tackle job, and he’s entrenched himself there since.
