2017 College Football Playoffs (and Other Bowl Games)

Yep, that's the path.

1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Miami
4. Okla
5. Wiscy
6. Auburn
7. Georgia
8. ND
9. OSU

Need Bama, Okla, Miami (and us, obviously) to win out. In that case, Bama, Okla and Miami would all have spots. We'd be above Wiscy, having beaten them, and I think we'd get the nod, as a 2-loss conference champ, over a 2-loss ND. Then it would be up to us getting the nod over:

Auburn, who will have 3 losses (with a loss to Bama) and won't be conference champ
Clemson, who will have 2 losses and won't be conference champ
Georgia, who will have 2 losses and won't be conference champ

I think we'd get the nod over Auburn, but I doubt we'd get the nod over both Clemson and Georgia.

Especially because the committee has said they view the Syracuse loss as null and void. Which is complete horseshit. Your backup QB should be prepared to go in and win against FUCKING SYRACUSE. And, what happened to the rest of the team? Why couldn't they hold it together? Clemson nearly blew it against Motherfucking FLORIDA STATE last weekend. Score doesn't look like it, but that game was nearly tied.

The GA team got their doors blown off by 30, but at least it was to a ranked team.

I honestly think it would be Clemson. They'd get the 2014 FSU treatment being reigning NC and all. Basically we need Clemson to do some Clemsoning. Not as necessary for Georgia, though.... at least I don't think.

Pretty crazy to be in it, but wow...I'm actually entertaining the idea more than I did a couple days ago.

I somehow think a 31 point drubbing has to be a disqualifier. Can you imagine if we watched another team get the brakes beat off them like that? To Iowa? But hey, I'm here for the chaos so let's do it.

LOL. Which one? The committee may very well SAY they're not taking last year into account. But, it's hard to ignore the egg we laid last year.

Bonus for us if Miami loses before the ACC title game. Then we don't care who wins that game.
Also bonus if Oklahoma loses to WVU and in the Big 12 title game. Then they have 3 losses and are done.

Those are even more unlikely than my scenario but if they happen, our chances grow significantly.

At this point, we almost want Oklahoma to keep winning. Keeping Oklahoma in the Top 4 is only good for us. Not sure we get in over ND if Oklahoma chokes, as we lost to them-- especially if Miami wins the ACC and GA wins the SEC. Not sure we get in over ND either way. Even with the championship. I really think we need them to lose again.

Beating Clemson would be nice, but I think they'll beat Cryami by 3-4 TDs in the ACC title game....

Actually think the opposite is more likely to happen ie the U winning by 3-4 td's as Miami has been getting better as the year progressed while Clemson has regressed against dismal competition. And yes, the ACC has been totally overrated from day 1.

Having mentioned this previously re: Clemson's back-up qb, the Buckeyes won the 2014 NC w/their third string qb!

You're insane.

Iowa probably finishes 8-4

Syracuse will be lucky to finish 5-7. In the before mentioned weak ACC

Not trying to talk up Iowa anymore than what they are. It was a bad loss. But it's not as bad as losing to Syracuse.

Though they seem to throw Clemson a bone for that loss cause their QB missed part of the game. Which is kind of BS. Still should be able to beat Syracuse.

They didn't lose by 31.
