CFB Weekly Thread 2017 CFB Week 11 Open Thread

Here is my concern with Auburn winning this game (if they do)

This time of year it's about velocity/timing and I don't think it's the best thing for OSU to have 3 SEC teams all still ahead of them.

I'd rather see Auburn get behind OSU now and see what happens after that.

Understanding that all of this is incredibly low odds speculation
Eh not even concerned about OSU getting in at this point. Team is way too schizophrenic for me to feel confident in the CFP. Just win out and beat someone's ass in a good bowl game.

I love that there are huge hits in the SEC regularly, and their refs are all like:

Then there’s the Big Ten:

No if you are rooting for CFP still. You want Auburn to win then get crushed by Bama and have Georgia lose to Bama in the championship. One SEC team is a practical lock at this point you want to avoid the possibility of 2.

We have zero fucking business being in the CFP discussion, let alone actually being one of the four. No CFP team loses by 31 points, in the ninth game of the year, to a mediocre team like Iowa.

Then again, our friends in Starkville could pull a stunner and make this whole thing really fun

Yeah, Auburn will get their 3rd loss to Bama.

Georgia needs to lose today AND to Bama- still a decent resume...losing to Bama and a 3 loss Auburn, but it's the closest shot.

(so dumb, I'm even entertaining this...but whatever. dumb and fun)

Word. Like somebody said up above...win out, get some more experience next year and get a good win in a nice NY6 bowl, preferably against the domers or an sec school.

I've asked myself this question a couple of times this week...

Would I rather see my team go to the CFP and lose (though not like last year)?

Or go to a different bowl and possibly play an opponent I don't care about?

If we went to a different bowl and played a team I hated, that would be ideal.
