2017 CFB Bowl Games Open Thread

I hope Brohm stays at Purdue for a while. Like at least until Petrino leaves Louisville. The B1G West is getting interesting.
With Frost at Nebraska and Fleck at Minnesota, the B1G West isn't going to be the cakewalk it's been previously.

Solid wins for both Iowa and Purdue tonight. It'd be a beautiful thing to see the B1G win all of their bowl games while the SEC face plants in all of theirs. Mizzou got that train rolling against Texas.

Booger and Mack Brown said the B1G and the ACC were the deepest conferences this season, then went to note how ironic it was the SEC got two CFP teams in a down year.

It didn't seem to occur to either of them that the top-heavy nature of the SEC is why they got 2 teams while the B1G got none. It's almost as if the "eye test" system is flawed, or something. :roll1:

What's funny is UCF is one of the best "eye test" teams out there this year with a lot of lopsided wins but no rep for them and why is that? Well because the teams they play aren't good that's why.

So here Alabama is with a bunch of wins against a lot of sub par teams and yet they're this sure fire top 4 team?

Only proves that the committee knew who the top 4 was the second the Auburn/Bama game was over. They knew that if OSU won out they'd still put in Alabama.

I assume they had their mind made up and wanted to put some suspense into what would happen to boost ratings for the selection show. Agree with what you posted from Mack though, I did my bowl picks and actually had the B1G going 7-1 in bowl games with the lone loss being Purdue and the SEC going 3-5. Should be entertaining

Call it PTSD from last year, but I'm just as glad that this year's Buckeyes are playing USC and not in the playoffs.
Call me crazy but, when all was said and done, I at least wanted a shot. This team would have been disrespected like no other and we know how Urban does in those situations. The team has the talent to put a whoopin’ on anyone. Really wanted to see JT get a shot at redemption.

Just sayin': Booger and Brown are probably the 2 worst "color guys" (vs play by play guys) currently working for any network.

Absolutely. As the saying goes, "you miss 100% of the shots you dont take."

I mean it sounds like a good reason to get pumped up and finally get back at Clemson and maybe OU, but I literally have zero confidence in JT having a solid performance when we really need him to against a great defense that has given us a lot of trouble the past two times we played.

We will see one more game of JT running the ball 15+ times and I doubt it'll be pretty but it should be enough to get the win
