11/08/16 - Baylor to sit RB Linwood for Oklahoma showdown...Baylor plays a pivotal Big 12 Conference game at Oklahoma on Saturday, but the Bears will be without the school's all-time leading rusher, Shock Linwood. Baylor acting coach Jim Grobe announced Monday that Linwood would not play against the Sooners because of attitude issues. "My plan right now is to not have Shock for Oklahoma. I think there's some attitude issues right now," Grobe said via ESPN. "It's not anything major. It's not. ... If I throw out violation of team rules and all that, that sends everybody off thinking the worst. But he's just not been himself. He's not really been as focused as I think he needs to be, and he's in a tough situation."
According to ESPN Central Texas AM-1660 radio, Linwood shoved an assistant coach who yelled at him during Saturday's 62-22 loss to TCU. Linwood had just six carries for 27 yards in that game. Linwood is second on the team in rushing with 594 yards. Terence Williams leads the team with 691 yards on the ground. Linwood became the school's all-time leading rusher inSeptember against Rice. He has 4,056 rushing yards in his career. Oklahoma (7-2) leads the conference with a 6-0 Big 12 record, while Baylor is 6-2 overall and 3-2 in the conference after two straight defeats. - The Sports Xchange
