2016 CFB Bowl Games Open Thread

Quick, befor Ord finds out I'm posting something positive about Fredo...

Gus Ragland was a two time state champ in football - and another with the baseball team at Moeller. Miami red-shirted him as a frosh and he rode the pine for two years. This year an injury took the starting QB out with the team at oh and six. Gus took over and led them to six straight wins. the first team in NCAA history to win six straight after losing six straight.

The kid is a baller. His Dad, Dan Ragland, was the basketball coach at Moeller before Carl Kremer took over. He and I worked with the same group of students, though I was gone before Gus arrived at the school.

Great kid and I'd like nothing more than to see him lead the red hawks past an SEC, SEC, SEC, team.

Wait...what? Miami of Ohio vs Mississippi State?

Well, it would be one of the funniest upsets in quite some time but I think it's more likely to be a bloodbath.

It's the Maryland/BC type games that will be truly awful.

Tens of thousands of fans and alums of those prestigious universities will pack Ford Field for that epic match up. Detroit will be buzzing with excitement. Just wait. You'll see.

B1G in for a bloodbath this year.... none of the matchups look good outside us vs Clemson...maybe Wisky vs Fighting Flecks...

This will probably be the lowest rated Cotton Bowl ever.

-Motel 6 Cactus Bowl (where guests can enjoy mold free accommodations once a year!)
-Famous Idaho Potato Bowl (insert 'hot potato' reference here)
-Autonation Cure Bowl (Not a chance in hell there's an antidote for Arkansas' defense)

Anyone know how they picked the 5-7 teams that got in? Only North Texas and Mississippi State are in, with Mississippi, Texas, Texas Tech, Cal, Arizona State, SMU, Nevada, Northern Illinois, Akron, and GA Southern not

All but the Farms Bowl look like toss ups to me. I'm worried Indiana mails it in because of Wilson's dismissal.

They used the team GPA under the theory that the team with the lowest cumulative GPA would have less to worry about prior to the next semester.
