Unfortunately replay blew another call

Meh. It shouldn't have even been an issue. The announcers got it right when they said Duke should just kick it out of bounds and give Miami the ball at the 35. If you let a team throw about 15 laterals and go 100 yards you fucking deserve to lose.

Agree that you run on 1st down and then call a TO

You stand a better chance than they do in OT, no TD on 1st play = Fg imo
If Speight didn't actually look decent on their TD drive--including the strike on the TD pass--then I could see kicking the FG and going to overtime, because your chances are decent in keeping Michigan out of the end zone. But, since it looked like Michigan could finally move the ball with Speight, and the Gophers only had a half yard to go, then I go with the try-for-win. The QB sneak is about the easiest play to stuff at the LOS. At least with handing the ball off in the power formation, the RB could find a small hole, jump over the LOS, bust it outside, or whatever.

Considering Minnesota had been killing it with the read option all game, the QB sneak was by far the worst play they could have called to win the game on. I concur.

Minny had 461 yards of offense in that game

scUM had 296

Minny was far and away the better team all night regardless of scUM QB

that was a bad play of the odds regardless of the imbecilic play calling

Gotta be Halloween. Duke loses a game of 10 second rugby, Minnesota comes back from the dead to first and goal on the 1 foot line only to have their coach totally screw the pooch, and Notre Dame gets screwed by the refs - a personal first time to witness - giving the owls about ten shots at the goal line and losing a DB for next weeks game. Be careful out there folks, it's spooky.
