Wrong. If you have the ball on the half yard line with 19 seconds left and one timeout, you power run and not fuck around. If you don't score a TD you call your TO and then proceed based on your field position. Even if you're stuffed on the first run, provided you're still inside the one yard line you can go for the win. It's not their going for the win that was stupid, it was they plays they called...

Agree that you run on 1st down and then call a TO

You stand a better chance than they do in OT, no TD on 1st play = Fg imo
