2015 Week 6 CFB Open Thread

If you heard the same song today then maybe you need to realize the only place that song is playing is in your head. 6-0. Every opponent has tOSU circled on their calendar. Zero turnovers. Better decision making by Cardale. Much better red zone efficiency than last week. Two takeaways by the defense (+2 turnover margin).
Is this team ready to go 15-0 and win it all? No. Then again, tell me which team in the country has shown it is ready to be 15-0 this year. Did they show improvement in some areas, especially on offense? Yes. Take a step back in others, especially on defense? Yes. They have the talent, coaching, and desire to improve. They will continue getting better.
So far as that song you're hearing, I would recommend clozapine.
That's what I mean. If it ain't one problem it's another and I'm just shocked at the big plays this defense is continuing to give up.

While I knew NW sucked you have to be pretty numb to the fact that scum is playing the way they are (particularly on defense). They're just blowing the doors off people with their defense. Very impressive and it makes me sick lol

All this Northwestern/Michigan game is telling us is that Northwestern--much like their coach--is a complete pretender. Northwestern has very little talent on either side of the ball. Worse yet, they're playing like they're terrified in this game. If they're the best the Big Ten West has to offer, look for another 59-0 game in the Big Ten title game this year.

I don't think they're a "complete pretender". If not for their habit to implode, I could see them sticking in the West. They're probably a team that belongs in the 20-30 range... will see how much they implode the rest of the season.
The problem is that they and scUM are carbon copies.... and Harbaugh just has better chess pieces across the board. He's a better coach than Fitzy too.

So, could anything else go wrong for Northwestern today:

- Gave up a kickoff return for a TD
- Gave up a pick-six
- On third down of their best drive, they're stopped 1 foot short
- Instead of going for it, Fitzgerald (no one will mistake him for Vince Lombardi) decides to kick a difficult field goal
- The kicker misses the field goal

A lot of teams will blow the doors off of Maryland and the recently overrated Mormons. When Sparty curb stomps them next week Ann Arbor can go back to sleep.

Sorry, but if you're losing by 4 TDs and it's not even halftime yet, you're not in the 20-30 range.

I think your expectation of top30 doesn't reflect the fact that we're talking about 1 out of 4 teams.

Sparty is gonna be in for a fight imo
Harbaugh needs that win for recruiting, it's his first major test, etc.
They're going to be flying high after today too.
Meanwhile Dantonio has, similar to us, struggled to get his team clicking the way he wants.

It will be interesting to see the narrative here if that doesn't happen. TSUN looks sound. If they beat Sparty convincingly, I think some folks here may be telling us how MSU ain't all that.
