They really did not run the read option against Wisconsin. He has excelled before running that. (more good reads than bad reads) I would highly doubt they don't include that against 'Bama

I don't think that is a good example of Cardale's abilitities. His rushing stats looked like those of a pure pocket passer due to not really running any read option because we could not afford to lose a third QB. A QB will get hit either way but I think the staff wanted to reduce those hits as much as possible. Oh, and EzE showed that he could handle the carries himself in that game.

Quick stat: Cardale has 215 yards rushing on the year playing mop-up duty. Sims has 321 as the starting QB for every single game.
