2015 Sugar Bowl Less Civilized Thread (Arguments/Shenanigans)

So let's set this straight.... I'm probablygoing to be the village drunk since I started my new years far far too early... however, I'm amazed that so many programs hold talented freshman back and for why? LSU has a back that's maybe top 10 in college football and he gets 11 carries with one being a 80 or so yard TD? You deserve that loss Les for the stupidity.

You see it everywhere though including our own. Mike mitchell didn't play (I get he was knicked up a bit in fall camp), Dontre was ignored the 2nd half of last year, and samuel was injected ever so often this year. Play the best players and if its close between a true freshman or a senior? You play the freshman because he will improve moreso
holy narrative batman. Miles has rotated backs for years to the frustration of many. Fournette being a freshman really wasn't the story line.

Mitchell was nicked? No, he played like a freshman (that's the bp friendly description), lost and overwhelmed. People will hyperbolize that situation forever because of his workout numbers without football equipment on. He was a raw player coming in, struggled like most freshmen do, and was handled poorly. The mistake was how it was done not that he was redshirted.

Dontre didn't know the playbook, was a huge liability as a blocker and was extremely undersized. Those are 3 huge weaknesses for a team built around efficiency and physicality. He had no business starting over any of the older guys and was used close to his potential as a wide eyed frosh.

When was the offense struggling without Samuel ? Other than Virginia tech, when no one was blocking, he has not been close to EzE. He has been a valuable weapon but was not under utilized.

It's hard to displace Eze at this point b/c of everything he does w/o the ball in his hands.
Samuel is great with the ball and has deserved every touch, but Eze lays out on every play with pass pro, run blocking, being an outlet, etc.

You really think mitchell couldn't have helped as a freshman over what we had last year? We were lost and confused anyways.

Also look at Huubbard this year... even our head coach did a "my bad, that's on me" in regards to him because he was ready. There are plenty people who don't have consistent blocking or have all of the understanding Jwins but that doesn't mean they aren't electric with the ball in their hands.

I'm just saying its common to not trust freshman even if its obvious they're talented and my point is they need the reps to learn. Particularly if they're very talented and can produce.

For three years though Urban has said the best will play and for the most part he's been right... but over time that hasn't always been the case

trash talk thread is that-a-way >>>
This is not trash talk by any stretch, but rather asking if any Bammer fans may be concerned that SEC defenses may not be all that they're cracked up to be. If you don't think there's any correlation, then feel free to say so. No one is saying "ZOMG!11!! SEC defenses sux!!111!!"
