Game Thread 2015 Sugar Bowl: (1) Alabama vs. (4) Ohio State, Jan 1st @ 8:30p ET, ESPN (civilized thread)

My point was that MSU did not do alright. They were not ever really in the game. Bama has done fine in their neutral site games this year. I also think blake has improved away from Bryant Denny with experience.

So they got some points in garbage time and that means it was never close but the Mizzou game was close going into the 4th quarter and it was a blow out?

Not sure that passes the logic test.

I don't think OSU's running game is as good as MSU, but I could be wrong.

Before the BIG championship game in Indy the announcers made the comment about Melvin Gordon being the best RB in the country. I looked at my wife and told her he wasn't even the best running back in the stadium. I honestly believe you could add another 500-700 yards to the Eze total this year if he would have been used more. He might not run for 200 against Bama...but he will put someone on their ass blocking them. His ability to pick up a blitz might be more important than his abilty to run.

I never said the Mizzou game wasn't close. I was nervous the entire time during that one. Bama actually dominated MSU the entire game. The same can not be said for the Mizzou game.

How do you normalize Barrett's stats out and Jones's stats in and where does your statistical power go with only one full game?
It was amazing to see how well OSU rebounded to all of the injuries to starting QBs this year though.
I think at this point, you can pretty well assume that OSU doesn't really care who their QB is. They are going to be successful anyway. That's what the results have said.

Maybe. I honestly think that Cardale is only as good as he is because of what happened this year. Sitting behind a second Heisman hopeful and having to wait like he has his entire career I think toughened him up mentally. It's not like he's a 17 going on 18/19 year old headed to the playoffs. He's a veteran guy that has waited his entire career at tOSU to shine.

He looked fine against Wiscy. There just hasn't been an apparent dropoff from one QB to the other this year.

Didn't I hear that Wisconsin had a true freshman out there. There may have been 2 in the secondary. Derrick Tindal and Lubern Figaro. How do you have a top 10 D with two freshmen in the secondary?

Jumping a talented TCU squad who has been ranked higher all year because Ohio State is a media darling beats that's out... And 21-0.

Actually Ohio State had the better resume at the end. More ranked opponents, better schedule overall, better OOC schedule.
Regardless it was never against TCU - but Baylor. Check Committee's statements all year, they flat out told everyone head-to-head would matter after KState.
