Game Thread 2015 National Championship Game: (2) Oregon vs. (4) Ohio State, Jan 12th @ 8:30p ET, ESPN

So I'm stationed at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. This whole god damn state is nothing but bandwaggoners and Mariota (Hawaii born and raised) nut-huggers. There were more "Oregon fans" in Buffalo Wild Wings today than Ohio State, Florida State, and Alabama combined. I already can't stand that stupid school with their stupid mascot and their stupid uniforms. Then to watch all these people act like assholes as they blew out FSU made me dislike them even more. Sorest, most in-your-face winners I've ever been around.

I don't even know where I'm going with this other than to say fuck these guys and GO BUCKS!!!

:oh:
Go to Giovanni Pastrami's downtown to watch games...that's where to local OSU alumni club goes. They own the place on game days...

This, to me, is going to be the most interesting game of the three. I think bama figured out how to stop OSU late in the game (with the exception of the 85yd run). It looks like cj is susceptible to the pass rush. Oregons pass Rush was amazing against fsu. But will more time make CJ better enough to deal with it?

We know OSU will be able to run the ball on oregon. But oregon's Rb looked tough to tackle too.

I have no idea what will happen. the sim that bama and Ohio state in a close one yesterday has OSU winning 82% of the time!

I'm glad we faced the Bama defense first. I feel that was the best defense that we would be able to get this year and look what our offense did even settling for 2 fgs inside the 10 and giving up 2 Turnovers in our territory. Oregon won't be as big or physical or well coached on defense as Bama i think we could put up 50+ on these guys. Our defense/special teams needs to play great and force some turnovevrs/sacks or force fg's if they drive down field. Sure they have speed and we can defend it in a short field much like what Bama did to us in the redzone.

New Avi for this game. Still feeling wonderful after last nights hard fought victory.

Plain and simple: We cannot turn the ball over like we did last night or 5 times like FSU did and expect to win this game. I think our defense is better than FSU's and Arizona's so we should be able to hold them to the 30's. They are going to get there's for sure we just have to capitalize on all of our opportunities. If we score 40+ I really like our chances and we've been doing at least that all season long.

Let's go duck hunting!

GCash, your guys' freaking punter is nigh illegal in the college game. We have a great one, especially from 50 in, but that kid was disgustingly good. Glad we aren't seeing him again anytime soon.

Think about this: We were down 21-6 to the #1 team in the country after failing to score a TD on two consecutive goal-to-go possessions around the 5-yard line and turning the ball over twice in our territory, and yet ran off 28 unanswered points against the nation's top defense and outscored them 36-14 the rest of the game. The only reason why this wasn't a 2- or 3-TD win was because of early mistakes. Also, being down 21-6 the team could've easily folded, but did not and instead galvanized their resolve to win.

If we're able to jump out to an early 2-TD lead against the Ducks, it'll be all over early.

Oregon got Tresselballed last time out more than anyone got Tresselballed before. Chip Kelly literally punted from from Ohio State territory on a 4th and 1 and lost the game. I think Ohio State and Urban Meyer can have similar success in controlling the ball and making the big plays where it counts.
That was a good day. I doubt we 'Tresselball' them, but Eze will get his touches - I mean - look at the play calling on our last possession, I don't see us clocking them for the final 6 minutes.

I think that may be more inexperience and facing Saban's coverage schemes in Cardale's second start - time will tell though, you may be right.

Wouldn't go that far. We stopped pounding the ball with EzE in the 4th quarter. Tried to get too cute. If we had used EzE to run like we did the first 3 quarters, the game is a much wider than it turned out to be.
