Watching the media day stuff on ESPN you could see that Mariotta and Helfrich in kind of a funky mood. Neither up beat and neither willing to discuss the suspensions.

Missing your top receiver that has been putting in work all week long with your starters. Now you have to generate your third string Widea Receivers into starter with 0 practices remaining. All try have left is a walk through tomorrow.

Two suspensions in two days just before the championship will wear on a team hard because you know finger pointing is bound to happen.

This isn't a comment on the seriousness of smoking pot; that's a separate discussion. But to me, the only sense in which something like this is accurately categorized as a "mistake" is that he was mistaken in thinking he wouldn't get caught.

Yeah, losing your top WR for an NC game against an Urban Meyer-coached team can be a bummer . . .

Watching Tyvis Powell and Jones have fun in the interviews, busting on each other (Tyvis calling Jones a fattie, Jones making 'momma' jokes) is awesome.

Oregon and Ohio State are completely opposite in their demeanor to the media.

Did a little reading on an Oregon forum. They're basically ordering the shirts and hats already as there is no way that Ohio State can stop them and they don't see our offense as a threat. Fuck them. They've never won a damned thing. I'm sure their team will be prepared but their fans are in for a rude awakening when the game begins. I wouldn't mind seeing Cardale truck one of their safeties early ala Landon Collins to send a message.
