Anything to be read into Braxton never wearing a headset when he's the sideline (unlike J.T.)?

We all remember how Urban the ESPN announcer literally couldn't believe Braxton wasn't wearing a headset in 2011 b/c of the mental reps you can take from being more involved.

Yea but Kiper evaluates talent in much the same way as the Oakland Raiders.

doesn't surprise me... from pure combine-like measurables.. he could be the best one
outstanding size.. decent speed.. but most of all the cannon
could be a very interesting project for a team that wanted to invest a few years in him

I doubt it, Urbz was yelling about a Frosh (who was getting some PT not having his head in the game). Quite different than an injured Senior with no chance of playing in said game.

I don't think Cardale will declare, but it wouldn't totally surprise me either. If he doesn't transfer at some point and J.T. stays at least two more years, his stock will probably never be higher (and these performances will probably be forgotten about). Plus he has what the NFL can't teach, size and arm strength.

I'm high on Cardale too, but thus far he has thrown no more than a half dozen passes inside the hashes. He's not being asked to read the defense much or throw guys open often. Against Wisky he threw one down the middle and was scolded for it. Against Bama it was more necessary due to their scheme, but he was still limited to only a few throws. His deep ball is deadly when paired with a guy like Devin, but at this point JT and Braxton are light years ahead.

Spring practice could make things interesting though if everyone else is limited or unable to go, but NFL talk is very premature.

Cj actually did a good job through the middle.. his deep ball is better than both Qbs. Braxton would overthrow open guys by 5 yards and JT missed so many deep because his deep ball would hang then fall short.

What CJ brings is a crazy ability to back shoulder every deep ball when there's tight coverage but his touch has been great too...

I'm torn about the 3 to be honest. JT and Braxton really relied on their legs far too much late in the past two seasons and personally when JT started running more our offense was no where near as good. Throwing the ball wise I feel Cardale really puts fear vertically into the defense and when you have as devistating of a running game as we do play action becomes huge.

I'm sorry, but I have to laugh at the talk of CJ going to the NFL now. That's great he can throw the deep ball, but when fans hang their hats on that, I think of jamarcus Russell and Jared lorenzen. You need more than a big arm and size to be successful in the NFL or even to last a few years. CArdale has been very successful because there's also little film to study of him. He has that luxury, and the playbook has been simplified for him as well. He has done a great job so far, but he's not close to being an NFL QB, but if he were to win an NC I would understand going pro and striking while the irons hot, but he has a very steep hill to climb and hell be drafted quite late too

I could definitely see it happen in round 3-4. The top three QBs in this class are Winston, Mariota, and Cook. There are some other names out there but it is tough to not take a flyer on a guy that big and powerful who can throw the ball. By my count there are 7 teams that will absolutely look at a QB.( Tampa, NY, Buffalo, Jax, Houston, Washington, Chicago) Then there are also some other teams that I could see him taking a seat behind and gaining a couple years NFL experience. (NE, Denver, San Diego, NO)
