Well, it's not bad. Generic steak joint like Texas Roadhouse. Really, it's not a bad meal for $10 - $15.

The menu is consistent, your meal will taste the same no matter which Outback you go to, and the bill fits into a $40-ish/day meal per diem. Applebee's, as a comparison, has wildly inconsistent quality based on the kitchen staff.

Yeah, Outback beats Applebee's every time. I stay away from those bloomin' onions, though. A pile of flour and grease with the onion taste to linger for hours in your stomach.

Agreed. Outback is our main go-to place for a decent steak for the price. Best steak I've ever had was a steak Florentine in Florence Italy, but it was only a bit better than a good outback steak, and cost quite a bit more (the wine was much better though).

Our worst restaurant experience ever was in an Applebee's in Everett WA. Haven't stepped foot in an Applebee's since.
