On the bright side, Connor Cook, Jim Bollman, Mike D'Antonillio, that fucking windmilling kicker, and the rest of the Spartans are the first team in the history of the college football playoff to be shutout. Prior to that epic display of ineptitude, every other team that had played in a semi-final or final scored at least 17 points on their opponent.

We have a tendency to pay people back that celebrate with windmill/guitar strumming motions. It'll happen again next year too...

Everyone keeps saying "yeah but we lose a lot"... this is true but we've recruited 10x better than anyone in the big. Plus Oklahoma is Oklahoma.

Bottom line is I like our odds if we run the big ten schedule.

Of course, that's how the Spartans have been playing well the past 5 out of 6 years ~ continuity. Whereas Meyer and Saban are losing Juniors to the NFL on a regular basis and assistant coaches to head coaching positions, etc.

Teams that win NC's are teams w/top ten recruiting classes year after year ie 'Bama (4) years in a row #1 recruiting class and #2 in 2011. Michigan State will never win a NC without top rated recruiting classes on a regular basis. This is why the "bluebloods" are always in the mix.

ok, ok, miracles do happen like Colorado/Georgia Tech in 1990 and BYU in 1984 which was a total fluke because they didn't play anybody ie their last game of the year was 24-17 win against TTUN in the Holiday Bowl.

I digress ...
